Ensemble Member Masters Fouettes, Not Fake Eyelashes

If there were an Ensemble Tony award, Linda Vega would have won more than one. She fancies herself to be an all-around triple threat, and though she has always been a dancer first, she’s worked consistently in all realms of performance. Her one weakness? “I still can’t put on fake eyelashes to save my goddamn life,” confessed the actor.
Vega, who routinely lands clean triples and can fouette through full musical numbers, is just not able to spread the glue on the eyelashes and stick them to her face. “I was really self conscious about it for a long time,” Vega shared with Hackstage, “but now I know that we all have gifts. For example, I can belt F’s but my fake eyelashes are crooked and that’s got to be okay.”
While Vega sometimes worries her inability to put on lashes are a possible career killer, others are not so sure. “Putting on fake eyelashes is still the hardest part of my day” shared octogenarian Broadway veteran Glenda Jackson, “it truly never gets easier.”
At presstime, Vega was seen trawling Hackstage casting calls, looking for roles in “gritty” and “naturalistic” plays.
