Leading Man Peaks at Table Read

A Church Basement Rehearsal Room: Insisting that his voice was nothing short of “very good!” sources reported Friday that Lev Livingston gave the performance of a lifetime at Sunday’s first read-through of Les Miserables. Regarding the local actor’s performance as Jean Valjean, “There was not an ounce of self consciousness, or fear in his reading, in fact I don't think he even knew the other actors were there!” stated one on-looker.

But the early whispers of Livingston’s genius proved premature. “Oh he’s definitely not gonna be able to do that again…” stated one knowing member of the ensemble rolling her eyes.

Indeed, by the second day of rehearsal, the glow had worn off and his confidence seemed to take a complete nosedive. “I thought we were going to have an easy process” confided director, Anthony Ermine, “but it seems that I’m going to spend the next 3 weeks pulling teeth with this guy. This is just like when we cast him as the Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors last season. I never learn! ” At presstime, Livingston was seen attempting to recapture that lost freedom by doing lots of push ups before reciting his lines.
