BFA Class Favorite Furious When ‘Class Loser’ Signed by CAA

New York, New York: Shaking his head in horror and repeatedly saying “Greg? Really?? Greg Alverdo?” recent Marymount graduate Reece Smythe was reportedly outraged to learn that his loser of a classmate had been signed by a top tier agency.

Smythe, who played such roles as "Jack" in Into the Woods and "John Proctor" in The Crucible while in school, allegedly came across Alverdo’s sucess when he was scrolling through Facebook on a lunch break at SoulCycle. “I mean he’s not untalented per say, but he didn’t have a lead the whole time we were a school” stated Smythe, “And not to be mean, but I always found his scene work to be pretty shallow and uninspired. And frankly, I’m sorry to say it but, his look is pretty generic. I just never thought of him as an artist….”

At press time, Smythe was screenshotting Alverdo’s announcement and sending it to his BFA class, with the caption “WTF? Greg??” before posting a throwback photo with Greg in their first year.
