Non Union Theater Sends Out Rejection Email Just in Time For You to Forget they Existed!

After seeing hundreds of people in Ceder Rapids, as well as attending Straw Hats, NETCs and the Bachelor's open call, The Pinkerton Regional Theater of North Dakota, has decided to “just cast the people we used last year.”

In case you had forgotten about your audition, or the fact that they exist at all, they have sent out the following statement to all who auditioned.

Dear Auditionee,

Thank you so much for choosing to audition for our production of Cats, opening tonight on our mainstage. We really appreciated your audition in January. We felt honored get a sense of who you are as a person and as a performer from listening to your three bars.

Unfortunately, we are sad to inform you that you have not been cast in the production at this time. We encourage you to NOT take any other jobs, on the off chance that we need you in our show last minute!

We know that you probably haven’t attended any other auditions since our call and that you have been thinking non-stop about your audition for the past six months. We appreciate you holding your breath and obsessively refreshing your email in anticipation of our decision.

Please understand that this was a tough process because there are a lot of actors in the world, and we mostly just like to hire our friends.

Thank you so much for reading our email. If we don't hear back from you, we will be sure to call you on the cell phone you provided to let you know that you have not been cast. We will also keep you on our email list for fundraising until the end of time.
